A SOLO (UNAUTHORISED!) DRAG MUSICAL RETELLING OF THE STORY OF TRACY BEAKER
Well weed, it’s time to head back to the Dumping Ground in Quivers’ latest return… combining the best of naughties pop and Jaqueline Wilson’s incredible seminal work.
“I’M OBSESSED!” – Dani Harmer
The Dare Games will begin this summer, with a special introduction from queer icon and layered velvet scarf wearer, Jacqueline Wilson, herself (defo not just Quivers in a grey wig…)
From the messy mind of the idiot behind ‘The Quivers Horror Puppet Show’, Quivers will be playing the icon Tracy Beaker will guide you through her life after an unexpected return to the Dumping Ground – a choice by her selfish foster parents.
But she can’t wallow for long, as Tracy is super excited about the prospect of a whirlwind future with a special visiting writer; spoiler alert – it’s Cam, and it’s driving everyone wild!
All this mixed with a combative new relationship with the hideous Justine Littlewood (ew!), support from the DGs iconic famous care-workers – Duke and Mike, and we hear all about Elaine the Pain’s sordid night life, before she got wrapped up in social work. Oh, and on the receipt of a mysterious birthday postcard, could there be a visit from Tracy’s super famous Hollywood A list star mum, or is it all just a nasty trick by the abysmal Justine..?
Let Quivers retell the highs and lows of the Beaker’s life, in the heavy handed way that only Quivers could: with an entire cast of puppets, and featuring songs from your favourite naughties pop artists; including Adele, Lily Allen, Kelly Clarkson, Atomic Kitten, Arctic Monkeys, Mika, Sugababes and more.
Don’t let the dust flare up your hay fever, and get your tickets for this ridiculous journey now!
