Department: Operations
Responsible to: Security & Wellbeing Manager
Hours: Casual (must be available evenings and weekends)
Pay: £10.25-£11.25 per hour

Working within the Security and Crowd Management team within the largest Concert and Event venue in the area as well as for Guildhall Events Services. Looking after the security and crowd management of the events within the Guildhall as well as monitoring the safety & wellbeing of the team working within the Guildhall & patrons entering the venue.

Creative Learning Coordinator
DepartmentLearning and Participation
Responsible to: Learning and Participation Manager
Hours: 16 hours a week, 22 weeks, evening and weekend work will be required
Pay: £11.54 per hour (equivalent to £24,000 pro rata)

In this new role, you will be responsible for developing an innovative and exciting new dance event- Dance Live! 2020, engaging schools and colleges from across the south, coordinating and platforming this new dance competition for the first time in February and April 2020.

Work Experience

Week long work experience for Y10, Y11 and College Students

We offer a limited number of placements each year that give a broad experience across all departments of the venue.

Please complete our Application Form and send it at least 2 months before your required start date to: hayley.reay@portsmouth.guildhall.org.uk

We do not accept CVs and/or Covering Letters and the application must be written and submitted by the person wishing to undertake work experience. We particularly welcome applications from students who express an interest in working in the music, arts and cultural sector.

Potential applicants will be interviewed in person or by phone before a placement is offered. Due to the large number of applications we receive we are not able to reply to all. If you have not heard from us within 1 week of submitting your application, you have unfortunately been unsuccessful.

Work Shadow Opportunities

Each year we run ‘Connect’ our work shadow programme where we offer x10 young people aged 16+ who are serious about developing a career offstage, the opportunity to work alongside our technical team.

Over a 9 month period successful applicants are offered x3 shows on which they can shadow our team, learn about how shows are run and how to approach the working environment.
