Showcasing Portsmouth Guildhall
2023 has been an exhilarating year for Portsmouth Guildhall! We have showcased our incredible work inside this iconic and versatile venue, and our efforts have led us to be shortlisted for several awards, which will be announced by the end of this year. Here is a quick summary of our nominations!
Firstly, we are overjoyed to be shortlisted for Venue of the Year in the 2023 LIVE Awards alongside the country’s most prestigious venues, such as the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall. This award recognises innovation in programming and broader engagement with the creative sector. Portsmouth Guildhall is grateful to our loyal audience and the promoters, agents and acts who work with us year after year to make achievements like this possible, and it’s an honour to be included!
Secondly, we are excited to be nominated for Best Business Event Venue for the Beautiful South Awards, which recognises those who represent the highest standards in the hospitality industry in the South East of England. Criteria for judging include venue facilities, green initiatives, building maintenance, on-site capabilities, and booking and sales processes. We are delighted to be recognised for the quality services we offer for our B2B events at Portsmouth Guildhall.
Last but certainly not least, we were nominated for not just one but three awards for Takedown Festival. We co-produced this metal and alternative rock event with Divergent Festivals. The festival was nominated for three industry awards in the 2023 UK Festival Awards: Best Small Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival, and Grassroots Festival. As creators and producers of unique and transformative community events, it is an honour to be included on this roster.
We owe our awards nominations to the dedication of our visitors.
