Following the announcement that comedy would be making its comeback to Portsmouth Guildhall this Autumn with a new, monthly series of Stars Off The Telly evenings, Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club is delighted to announce the line-up for the first of its stand-up events on Saturday 28th November.
Bringing you their best ever all-star line-ups featuring comics from shows such as Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Britain’s Got Talent, each night features top professional comics plus a top notch host and compere, to give you a great night out guaranteed!
Stephen K. Amos – a multi, International Award-Winner that has charmed and entertained audiences all over the world with his natural, assured delivery and honest, original material. A gifted actor, Amos has impressed critics with his performances on stage and screen, proving he is one of the most unique comedy voices of a generation and with a penchant for drama roles.
His multiple TV credits include Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week, QI, Celebrity Juice, Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live, Celebrity Great British Bake Off – Comic Relief and he is one of few comics to have the distinction of appearing at The Royal Variety Performance with his BBC Radio 4 sitcom about his teenage years in 1980s South London, What does the K stand for? achieving three series.
Adam Bloom – one of Britain’s most inventive comedians, has performed sell out shows at Edinburgh Festival, International Festivals, his own UK tour and is described by Ricky Jervais as “one of his favourite stand-ups for about 10 years!” His credits include The Young Person’s Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week, The Stand-Up Show, Head on Comedy and has written three series of ‘The Problem with Adam Bloom’ for BBC Radio 4.
Pat Monahan – is the only comedian we’ve ever known to have embarked on not one, but two national tours at the same time! The first was the result of winning ITV’s ‘Show Me the Funny’ and the second was his own tour show ‘Hug Me I Feel Good’. He has appeared on numerous TV shows across the Beeb, ITV, Channel 4 and 5, and Sky and holds the world record for the longest hug at a time of 25 hours, 25 minutes!
Luke Honnoraty (MC) – is living proof that some people were born to be on stage, combining childish humour with an amazing self-awareness and natural stage presence, resulting in a infectiously funny set. Luke is such a funny fella he’s a keen favourite amongst the circuit and has supported some of the biggest names including Russell Kane and Katherine Ryan.
The line-up may be subject to change but Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club guarantees that comedians would only be replaced with someone just as funny! Future dates for the Stars Off The Telly series on sale now are 19th December 2020 and 30th January 2021, with the line-ups for these evenings to be announced soon.
Portsmouth Guildhall is ‘Good to Go’ having successfully achieved the Industry Standard Mark of Visit Britain which demonstrates that the venue is adhering to Government and Public Health guidance, has carried out all necessary risk assessments and has the required processes in place.
