Celebrating 50 years since the first Moon landing, the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain are attempting their own mission: To transport you through time and space with a little help from the most iconic celestial-inspired repertoire.
Sunrise – the inimitable opening fanfare from Also sprach Zarathustra – leads the way, swiftly followed by a rousing selection of movements from Holst’s seminal work, The Planets. The performance continues with the first movement from Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, nicknamed the Jupiter Symphony. We end on an almighty high with a selection of music from George Lucas’ Star Wars franchise.
