Big Mouth Comedy Festival is back for 2019 with absurdist genius Milton Jones set to headline it’s opening night! Get set for a lip smacking treat with a festival full of comedy genius guaranteed to have you rolling in the aisles.

After thousands descended upon Portsmouth Guildhall in 2018 for the inaugural event, we’re now set to be bigger and better, expanding into four dates on 1st-2nd and 7-8th March. 2019 will feature a more varied line-up, in what is set to be a fine four days of folly, frivolity and tomfoolery guaranteed!

Milton Jones will be appearing alongside special guests, and will be doing a set featuring a mixture of new material and his greatest hits.

Milton Jones is a regular on Mock the Week, also appearing on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo and he has headlined Dave’s One Night Stand.

Milton Jones’s tours, Milton Jones and the Temple of Daft (2015) and On the Road (2013), both played to over 100,000 people, and his last show Milton Jones Is Out There played to even more!

Also performing is Jo Caulfield, from TV shows such as Have I Got News For You or Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, radio including Just a Minute or Stop The Press, and of course her own live award-winning Edinburgh Festival shows.

Described by The Observer as “one of the finest female comics at work” and by The Scotsman as “quite simply, a damn funny woman” Jo can regularly be seen headlining the UK’s biggest and best comedy clubs.

Returning after going down a storm at Big Mouth Comedy Festival 2018 is apologetic Eton and Oxform alumnus Ivo Graham. Starting stand-up in 2009 at the age of eighteen and eight months later became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Since graduating three years later he has become a regular fixture in the clubs and theatres of the UK circuit, with a gauche charm and crafty, self-aware wit which has proved a hit with audiences of all ages, and led to appearances on multiple TV and radio shows including Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, and Comedy Central At The Comedy Store.

You won’t want to miss award-winning comedian and writer Larry Dean. He was crowned Scottish Comedian Of The Year when he was 23, and since then his star has continued to rise. A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, his shows have drawn praise for their ‘Sharp and unexpected lines [and] irresistible chutzpah.’(Chortle) Larry’s 2018 show, Bampot, was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, and is currently touring the UK as well as Perth Fringeworld and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. As seen on BBC2’s Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.
