Announced for Portsmouth Comic Con 2022!
The organisers of Portsmouth Comic Con – International Festival of Comics, have today announced an exciting new feature for the rescheduled Con of 2020 and 2021 that will now take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May 2022 at Portsmouth Guildhall.
Guests will feel like they are part of the Star Wars universe in a brand-new walk-through experience created by the Joker Squad and Isle of Wight Props Crew. Entering the world of Tattoine complete with backdrops, Stormtroopers and Luke Skywalker’s Speeder, you will experience the sights, sounds and characters of the desert planet before being transported to the moon of Endor with its Imperial Bunker, speeder bikes and an interactive Ewok experience with lots more surprises to discover!
The Star Wars walk-through experience, available on both days of the Con, is in addition to the previously announced special features of ‘She-Quential’ Female Superheroes on Saturday, a celebration of the creation of some of the best-loved female characters in the world of comics and film and the magical ‘World of Witchcraft and Wizardry’ on Sunday, which honours the fantasy novel and film worlds of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Excalibur and many more with costumed characters, props, games, workshops and cosplay parades.
Portsmouth Comic Con brings you the best in comics, film, TV and pop culture entertainment, welcoming some of the greatest writers and illustrators in the industry in an impressive Artists Alley sponsored by Catawiki, alongside stars of the screen and the wonderful world of cosplay led by our Event Partner, GoGeek Events CIC! Plus panels, displays, exhibitions, gaming, VR, steampunk and an incredible range of merch and collectables.
