Make the most of your summer with Portsmouth Guildhall's series of online events!
Today Portsmouth Guildhall launches its Summer Staycation series of online events to help you make the most of your summer holidays at home in the UK this year.
Featuring a range of interactive events, live streamed performances, competitions and activities there is something to keep all ages entertained throughout August and even a special offer to get on board with the excitement of the Government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme!
Kicking things off, the Guildhall’s weekly live sing-a-long sessions with the Urban Vocal Group, will invite singers and non-singers of all abilities to join in and give their lungs a workout with a different themed twist each week from Disney to Disco and 60s to the Musicals!
If sitting back, relaxing and watching some fantastic local artists is more your thing don’t miss out on the weekly Summertime Sessions in association with LMSUK Media every Thursday at 7pm, featuring chilled live-streamed gigs from the sitting rooms of some of the region’s most promising talent to yours.
You can also set the soundtrack to your summer with the Guildhall’s Rewind Mixtape featuring the tracks of some of the most famous stars and bands to grace the Guildhall stage and those to come including Bastille, The Beatles, Mumford and Sons, McFly, Stereophonics, Royal Blood, Gary Barlow, Pink Floyd, Tom Jones, Elbow, Jamie Cullum, Belinda Carlisle, Deacon Blue and many more. With a new Mixtape to be released each week there will be plenty choice for car trips, days out and to keep you company if you’re still at work.
For those looking for something a little more energetic, the Mini Ravers gang return with a special online live DJ set and party of characters for you to dance with the kids, exercise and have fun!
Plus the Guildhall will be keeping its online family activity resources topped up with a range of crosswords, wordsearches and puzzles to keep you entertained.
And, between 3rd and 31st August the Guildhall is also launching its ‘Enhance your Experience to Help Out’ offer whereby you can enjoy Buy One Get One Free on all £15 Hospitality Packages for participating shows in 2021! For those seeking special treatment, these limited upgrade packages offer early access to the venue and Hospitality Lounge with a private bar, drinks on arrival and interval refreshments while supporting the future of The Guildhall Trust by ‘helping out’ and paying ahead.
