The Guildhall Trust presents a Summer Festival with the best of tributes to Madness, Ariana Grande and Little Mix!

In a terrific end of term treat on Saturday 20th July from 3pm to late, a Summer Festival filled with live music, talented local performers, family fun, food, stalls and entertainment will take place in the grounds of The Hayling College.

Presented by The Guildhall Trust in support of HI-5 Schools Family & Friends and The Hayling College, festival goers are invited to sing and dance the day away with the best of tributes to some of their favourite acts including Ariana Grande, Little Mix and Madness!

All Mixers and Arianators are called to join in the hits including Black Magic, Shout out to My Ex, Thank u, next and One Last Time before donning their fez’s and skanking to Baggy Trousers, Our House, It Must Be Love and more.

Also taking to the stage will be a full programme of talented, local performers from Hayling Island’s schools and community groups and adding a good splash of geek to the day, with an ideal photo opportunity for all sci-fi, movie and comic book fans, will be GoGeek Events with a fantastic range of props and superhero characters.

Visitors will bask in the Festival vibes and enjoy the start of the holidays with a bar, range of food, gift and community stalls, games and a host of fun activities for all the family.

Proceeds from the event will support projects and activities in local schools through The Guildhall Trust’s Get Involved programme, The Hayling College and HI-5 Schools Family & Friends, a co-ordinated group to fundraise collectively for Hayling Island’s schools and instill community spirit.

Lou Earp, Chair of the HI-5 group said, “It is simply fantastic that The Guildhall Trust is putting on this event to be enjoyed by the whole community and raise much needed funds which will improve the quality of our children’s school life. HI-5’s major projects for this year include new seating and play areas, new bike sheds and much needed IT upgrades – all important things that will have a massive impact on the health, wellbeing and learning of our children”.

CEO of The Guildhall Trust, Andy Grays said, “As a Charitable Trust we have an active ‘Get Involved’ programme of workshops, activities, groups and courses for children and adults of all ages to engage in the arts and develop their passion for music. Hayling Island is very much a part of the community that Portsmouth Guildhall serves and the Summer Festival is a great opportunity to excite people with live performance and raise funds to enable us to deliver further programmes into this community in the future”.

Tickets for Hayling Summer Festival are available online now or from the office of any of Hayling Island’s schools: Mengham Infant School, Mengham Junior School, Mill Rythe Infant School, Mill Rythe Junior School and The Hayling College.
