The Isambard Brunel Car Park, The Park and Ride.

The Isambard Brunel Car Park, The Park and Ride.

Please note that the Isambard Brunel carpark will be closed from 6pm Friday 13th March to Sunday 15th March 2015.

Please note that there is very limited on-street parking outside the Guildhall.

We do however have The Isambard Brunel multi-storey car park only 200 metres from the Guildhall.

Anyone attending a show at the Guildhall can buy a parking ticket in advance, valid from 6pm until midnight on the day of the show you are attending, for only £4 (incl. booking fee). Tickets can be collected during box office opening hours and before shows. Tickets can be purchased online and collected at the Box Office.

*Please ensure that you receive a replacement ticket from the box office for the ticket received at the car park after you have parked and BEFORE the show starts*

You can pay by cash, credit or debit card using one of the pay on foot ticket machines.

The car park is located at Alec Rose Lane, PO1 2BX and it has 460 spaces.

Looking to save some money on your city centre parking? The council parking office is offering a Park-it, pay as you go card. The £80 top-up card gives you £220 of credit, and makes parking just £3.09 per day (for 8 hours). That's the equivalent of nearly 26 days worth of parking, and you'll never have to scrabble for change again. The car park is central, well lit and has 24 hour CCTV in action.

Disabled Access Guide for Isambard Brunel Multi Storey Car Park

Please note that Blue Badge holders are exempt from pay and display charges in Portsmouth City Council owned car parks, you only have to display your badge. This is not the case in NCP owned car parks. Please note that this does NOT include the Isambard Brunel Multi-Storey car park as you have to get a ticket in order to gain access. Portsmouth City Council suggests Stanhope Road car park or Guildhall Walk car park for Blue Badge holders. There is space to drop off outside the Guildhall for those who find it hard to walk long distances.

The Park and Ride

The new Park and Ride service in Portsmouth is open 7 days a week and has begun operating from the Tipner Interchange off the M275. Tickets are priced at £2 per car and direct access via the new motorway junction and bus priority lanes has been created. The buses depart every 12 minutes and serve the city centre, Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays; reaching the city centre in 7 minutes and The Hard transport interchange in approximatley 12 minutes.
