Portsmouth born Spike Edney, keyboardist for Queen since 1984 and Musical Director for The Nelson Mandela 46664 Concerts, will be hosting an exclusive dinner for just 40 people in the Lord Mayor’s Banqueting Room.

Solo artists including Bob Geldof, Lionel Richie, Suggs, Roy Wood, Leo Sayer, Kiki Dee, Paul Young and Toyah Willcox have also all moonlighted as lead vocals.

Spike is currently the musical director of the official Queen tribute band, the Queen Extravaganza.

All proceeds from this special fundraising dinner will contribute to our Studio Campaign, a new multi-purpose facility to support emerging talent across the region, develop a diversified arts and contemporary music programme, a youth arts and theatre programme and provide an accessible hub, which community groups can utilise.

The evening will begin with your entrance through the bronze double doors that stand proudly at the top of the Guildhall’s grand stairway followed by a champagne reception and an exclusive tour with Spike around the Spike Edney exhibition as part of the Portsmouth Music Experience.

A sumptuous 5-course dinner with refreshments will be served in the grand surroundings of Lord Mayor’s Banqueting Room accompanied by a talk from Spike and his presence throughout the evening.

There will also be a cash bar.
