Corporate Membership

Align your brand with the South’s leading Events & Conference venue. Engage with over ¼ million people, fulfil your corporate social responsibility targets and support the legacy of the Guildhall for future generations.

Ravaged by aircraft assaults in the Second World War, the opulent Victorian Concert Hall was almost raised to the ground. What remained were the solid walls and clock tower, standing proudly and defiantly in a dust and debris filled sky. From the ashes, The Guildhall rose and was rebuilt in the 1950s to National acclaim, going on to host the likes of The Beetles, The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Hendrix.

Today, Portsmouth Guildhall is a vibrant and successful Concert Hall with excellent Conferencing and Meeting facilities. At our core, we are a charity. We believe that the arts should be accessible to all and through our objectives we strive to inspire, entertain and transform lives.

We support schools by providing facilities and experiences they are unable to and bridge the gap between stem and steam subjects. We hold concerts for children in hard to reach areas, giving them the opportunity to experience live performance for the first time. We also provide vital skills courses, giving young people practical guidance to pursue a career in the creative industries.

We tackle loneliness and isolation in the elderly through workshops which give people in our community the opportunity to meet like minded people and strike up incredible friendships.

Inspire & Sustain
Through our creative programme of artistic and heritage development our vision is to be a Cultural Hub in which our community comes together to experience live performance and world class acts. Most recently Mumford & Sons, Gary Barlow, Band of Year 2018; The Gorillas, the London Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra have all played within our walls, attracting over ¼ million people each year.

Our future
A catalyst for change is here and from 2017 we have begun work on our Renaissance Project: a brave and all encompassing plan to transform the venue into one of the leading music venues and conference and events hub in the country with new amenities including a purpose built, accessible welcome centre and Studio, improved seating and facilities for our audiences, state of the art conference suites, an exciting exhibition space that brings the heritage of the Guildhall to life and a new catering and retail offer.

Your membership will contribute to our Capital Fund, primarily our Studio Campaign. In 2018, we plan to transform a tired and under-utilised space into a 185 seat/250 standing capacity Studio which will offer a diverse programme of events and activities, a platform for emerging talent and artists and a vital space for community groups.
