Guildhall Introducing: Ben Brookes

Friday 31 Mar 2017 - 12pm, Guildhall Café - FREE

Hailing from the southern shores of Portsmouth, this singer/songwriter is best regarded for his sharp hooks and indie pop melodies, cut with a dark heartfelt abandon of love and hope. Having already built a strong following in a short space of time, armed with his voice and acoustic guitar, Ben Brookes will have you dancing or wiping eyes within minutes.

Still only fairly new to the scene, Ben's inspirations lay deep in old school grounds. Citing influences with bands such as Pink Floyd or The Beatles - he provides that melodic simplicity peppered with 90's youth of Britannia, lifted with a Smiths-esque groove that will keep your foot tapping throughout the evening.

Even for the most abstained of audiences, this new young talent will keep all heads rolled and firmly at the stage.
