Vision, Values and Equalities

At Portsmouth Cultural Trust diversity and inclusion are embedded in the fabric of the organisation.

The Trust is committed to promoting equality and diversity and a culture that actively values difference; recognising that people from different backgrounds and experiences can bring valuable insights to the workplace and enhance the way we work.

We are committed to promoting equality and diversity by ensuring that decision making about our workforce and partners/clients is based on skills, abilities, potential and experience. The Trust aims to be an inclusive organisation, where diversity is valued, respected and built upon, with ability to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves.

We aim to develop and provide activities pro-actively designed for the needs of the communities that we serve. By providing entertainment that covers the widest achievable range of genres and cultures, allows us to provide equality of opportunity to our customers and encourage as broad an audience as possible to be involved and enjoy our offer.

The Trust is also committed to compliance with relevant equality legislation, the Equality Act 2010, Codes of Practice and relevant best practice guidance, to ensure effective policies and practice of promoting equality are in place.

The Trust aims to pro-actively tackle discrimination or disadvantage and aims to ensure that no individual or group is directly or indirectly discriminated against for any reason with regard to accessing its services or employment.
